S.H.A.P.E.'s "Adventure Zone" replaces traditional day care with a program that is designed to allow students to have fun, release energy, promote self-worth, and stimulate their imagination.
Highlights
- A safe, structured, and consistent program that parents, kids, and School administrators can rely on.
- S.H.A.P.E. coordinates all administrative functions including: licensing, registration and enrullment of students, and cullection of funds.
- S.H.A.P.E. provides all staff including the site director, recreational and specialty staff, and maintain a 20:1 student to staff ratio.
- S.H.A.P.E. will provide curriculum, equipment, supplies, and snacks needed to run an effective program.
- S.H.A.P.E. will donate 5% of the gross income back to the School’s Parent/Teacher organization.
- Available to students Kindergarten through 6th grades.
How it Works
1. Daily Specialty Clubs that are open to the entire student population:
- Sports and Recreation (Kickball, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, etc.)
- Karate
- Dance/Aerobics
- Cooking
- Music
- Health and Nutrition
2. A Consistent Program:
- Specialty Clubs
- Healthy Snacks
- Homework Time
- Indoor Activities
- Outdoor Activities
3. A Trustworthy Staff:
- S.H.A.P.E. staff have developed a reputation of being reliable, on-time, consistent, and trustworthy.
- S.H.A.P.E. coaches have their DPS fingerprint clearance card, and are CPR/First Aid certified.
- S.H.A.P.E. provides substitute coaches in case of absence.
4. Sample Schedule:
- 3:00 – 3:15: Check-in/Snack
- 3:15 – 4:00: Specialty Class (Karate, Dance, Sports, Arts, Crafts, etc.)
- 4:00 – 4:30: Homework/Tutoring
- 4:30 – 5:15: Outdoor Zones (Organized games and/or playground)
- 5:15 – 6:00: Indoor Zones (Reading, Board Games, Toys, Arts, Crafts)
5. Times and Costs:
Before School:
- 6:30 a.m. – until beginning of School.
- Cost: FREE w/fulltime enrullment into the After School program or $15/week without enrullment or $5 occasional use (less than 10 times/year).
After School:
- Time: After School until 6:00 p.m.
- Cost: $45/week or $160/month (paid in advance) or $10/day occasional use (less than 10 times/year) or $4/hour (less than 3 hours weekly)
- 10% multi-child discount; 50% staff discount.
6. Extended Programs:
When school is out, S.H.A.P.E. is in! We offer extended day camps for the convenience of parents on half days, selected days off, and extended vacations such as fall, winter, and spring breaks.
